Hi Aram,
QUESTION??????????
How much aerial photography have you done???????
Your quote!!!!!!!!!!!!! >>Door off, seat belt on, extra
seat belt on, backup extra seat belt, on.... Then don't throw up. By your
quote? I can only offer??>> YOU'VE NEVER DONE ANY??? Your comment is absolute
garbage tripe to offer as advise to a beginner! And or anyone contemplating
shooting aerials. Maybe you might try some before you give such sickening
advice. Thankyou very much.
cheers. Dr. Ted

Hi Howard,
Well my dear friend not bad for a first time shoot and a crappy weather day.
However? Did you ask the pilot about taking a door off? OR putting a window
down. #1 you would've eliminated window reflections for sure. Oh it might have
been a little chilly, but just put more clothes on!
If he said "NO!" about putting the window down or door off I'd have got another
pilot as I have done any time they refuse. My aerial photography has been from
helicopters.... "ALWAYS THE BEST!" and door off. And over the years a multitude
of fixed wing flights. Certainly with the door off which only takes but a few
minutes to take off and return upon landing.
If you should have the opportunity to do it again? Insist the door comes off
and you wont believe the improvements for angles and better photo
opportunities.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! next time? Hope for a clear day and door off without
question!!!
cheers,

Hello Flexers,
First, thank you for the helpful advice about taking aerial photos.
I ended up taking my NikonD800E with my Leica 28 Elmarit R attached.
I used it to take several pano photos. I also took the D500 with the 24 - 85
zoom. My wife Esther used the fuji X100F.
I sat in the rear of the 1979 Cessna which we chose as it has flat windows
in the back which minimized reflections in the cabin. Esther sat in the
co-pilots
seat and had more problems with reflections.
It was a dull, overcast day but we didn’t experience any rain until we were
on the return to the Squamish airport after the 55 minute flight.
16 photos are in the aerial photo folder. Please look here:

and then click right.
Enlarged images can be viewed if you like. C&C always welcome.
Cheers
