Big Bird is not just the large yellow bird on Sesame Street.

Here, in Logan Lake, it is a two-day gathering of model airplane enthusiasts, from as far away as Saskatchewan and Oregon.

Taking photos of models is difficult for two reasons... First of all, they move so fast, and are so close to you, that the relative motion is much greater than real planes at a real airshow. Secondly, they are, of course, much smaller, and it's tough to get a background which allows them to have any semblance of looking "real".

I gave it a stab, yesterday.

Comments, criticism welcomed, as always.

Cheers!

PS: I'm heading back there, in an hour ... for today there is rumoured to be a jet powered model, with a 6 foot (~2 meter) wingspan, which is to fly, this morning. This, I've got to see!
