Hi Steve,

I would be interested, do you have some Leikon digital images of it you could
send me? I recently picked up a CamerQuest Leica R lens to Canon EOS adapter
but I've also been thinking about the Nikon digital body alternatives. Sounds
like you have been down this path, please share your thoughts if you don't
mind. Back to the 80mm Leica lens, I used to be a Canon Professional Services
member and as such I had access to what ever I wanted. My personal carry kit
consisted of two Canon F1N's with the Canon 24mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.2, 85mm f/1.2,
100mm f/2.0, 135mm f.2.0 and 80-200mm f/4.0 zoom lens. All were very good
lenses but I always seemed to always end up reaching for the 24 and 85,
sometimes the 50. After much contemplation I sold all medium format system
(Hasselblad, Rollei, and Mamiya) and was shooting mostly with the Leica M6 and
28mm f/2.0 ASPH, 35mm f/2.0, 50mm f/2.0 an f/1.0 and the 90mm f/2.0 APO lenses.
When using the Leica SLR system I have always wanted to try out the 80mm
because of how much I enjoyed "seeing" through the 85mm.

So please let's discuss further,

Wayne
