Thanks for showing the image, Vipul. For me, its too dark. The
setting/compostion is fun, but I miss seeing more definition in the subject’s
face and in her hands. The others may have more specific suggestions with more
weight of technique and experience, but I’m wondering where the exposure
reading was taken? To my eye if the exposure had perhaps been taken via spot on
her face or hands it may have given more opportunity to draw me into the image.
I appreciate Dr Ted’s technique of taking from the shadow-side, but I need more
visual definition in the shadows of the central subject to make it appealing to
me. And I have to admit that the concept of micro contrast is above and beyond
my limits of knowledge at this point, though I would enjoy learning/hearing
more about it.

Took this photo on Christmas just after sunset and light was still coming from
the side window with M240 hand held. 90 mm Leica, ISO800, f/2.0 and SS-1/15.
I am learning B&W printing with Epson P800 printer. Micro contrast was amazing
when I printed on Glossy paper( experimenting). Normally I use matte paper.
