Good afternoon. Could I please ask for some suggestions as to what to use to
lubricate the slide zoom on a Leica Telyt 560mm / 6.8? I have been given the
lens today by an elderly friend who has not used the lens in decades. The glass
is clear and bright and the diaphram works fine; but the zoom slide is a little
stiff. I have been gently sliding it repeatedly, but it seems to need a touch
more than physical manipulation. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated,
as I’m holding myself back from the handy dandy misting of WD40. Thank you.
