Linda I'm not trying to give you a hard time over what your beliefs are
regarding this picture. And on another post of a freckle face girl with her
eyes closed.

But trust me, in the real world of earning a living as a published
photojournalist I'd be super surprised a photo editor for any wire service/
magazine or news paper would bother giving these "eyes closed exposures"
regardless of what you may say, more than about 3 and a half seconds of
attention before dropping them into the re-cycle bin!

I mean you can give all the reasons you wish about what they are supposed to
depict in your mind. But in real life of published work, other than maybe
"art publication" I doubt they'd ever get published or ever earn you a
penny, let alone dollars.

I will however add.. I never cease to be surprised at what's published in
the name of art!

You post your pictures here and ask for comment which is exactly what these
are. However, made in the sense of the real world of earning a living hard
nose state of photography.

I trust you are not offended by my comments as they are not as a personal
affront. As that isn't what I mean to do. The remarks are about the
photograph as offered. And hopefully to give you some tough assed photo
editor feelings from real time experience.

Dear Ted,

Eyes closed are also an expression (of HIM.)

I have lots of photos(in general) with eyes closed.

Introvert (with shutting the "blades" ) is not to be thrown away , but also
shows the innerside.

It is a part of life. Eyes are closed a lot of the time .

It is not a mistake, like someone blinking the eyes when deliberately
shooting him/her , but sometimes an atmosphere .

He shows himself at his best , confident and relaxed enough to be himself..

Yours sincerely

Linda

Linda,

Why did you use this picture??? Her eyes are closed. Or are you reading
something into the picture we don't have any idea what it is?

The exposure is fine. But eyes closed? Please explain why you didn't just
throw this away?
