The AF system went weird, just once or twice, in some 400 shots. I
think if the light is exactly right (esp. when shooting somewhat
against the sun) the AF system can focus on a snowflake. But this
proved very rare.
Bear in mind that I am using the central sensor only, for AF. I
suspect if you used the 11 point "Auto" position, the error rate
might climb, as in this mode, any camera will try to focus on the
nearest thing in the photo.
Over-all, I would consider myself extremely happy with the speed &
accuracy of the Oly's AF system. Certainly, a better success rate
than I was getting with MF, due to failing eyesight!
