Hi Neil,
I am touched and happy that you have now acquired pilot license. Every time I
go to the airshow, i get goose bums and feel proud of people who gave and
continue to give their service for our great nation.
Thank you

Hi William,
That's a P-51C that was restored in honor of the Tuskegee Airmen "Red Tails".
The first time I saw that plane was a very emotional experience for me
because my father was a P-51 pilot with the Tuskegee Airmen's 332nd group,
and the P-51B was his favorite of the series. I was returning to a local
airport from a solo flight, and as I was taxiing toward the hanger that P-51
appeared on the same taxiway, headed straight for me! Being a "tail dragger",
I knew he might not have seen me, so I exited the taxiway immediately, but
was stunned by the context, as my father had passed before I acquired my
airman's certificate (e.g. "pilot's license").
Thanks for the memories, Vipul!
Neil

Nice catch. Assuming that's a very early P-51 variant?
