Well done, Aram. I particularly enjoyed “AM Ascention 9574”, though I must
playfully remind a science-teacher that the spelling is “Ascension” rather than
“Ascention”. :)
How many years have you attended the Albuquerque Festival? One of my favorite
images from the time that I have been here is one that you captured of three or
four balloons tied to an iron-work chair on a brick paved surface. I think you
captured it while attending one Festival though I can’t remember how many years
ago that was, but it has pleasantly stuck in my mind. Thank you.
Best regards,
Peter Stevens

View them large if you can.

As the sun rises, it makes for quite a sight.

With many balloon events, you are relegated to viewing from selected areas
and not allowed to mingle. At Albuquerque, probably the largest event in the
world, you have free reign to wander wherever you want. Just pay attention
and let the crews do their thing.

The people who control this are called Zebras, and they are the ground flight
control people. They do an excellent job.

There are many special shapes and they are the popular ones. And they come
from many countries. Here is Bavaria's tribute to Vincent Van Gogh, but he
has both ears.

And I am not sure what this one is. I think a saxophone.

That's enough for now. Thanks for enduring all these.
