BTW I have tested the Canon 24 f1.4 against the 28 Elmarit f2.8 and on the 20D in the corners you get less colour fringing with the Elmarit than with the Canon with both lenses set at f2.8. This is a real tribute, IMHO, to the quality of Leica glass - because the Canon 24 is one of the best Canon wide angle lenses - or so I am told.

Thanks, Howard. That's what I understood, and couldn't quite believe the fellas.
OK - last dumb question (for now). Can you conveniently get by with one LeiCanon adapter, or do you really need one adapter for each lens you wish to use?
I'm getting very tempted!
