Hello Neighbors,
Following up on our communication last week, we are sharing the plan for
Phase One of the pool opening. We will continue to evaluate the guidelines
based on changing health department mandates and the reality of
implementation. Residents’ access to the pool will begin on Friday, June
26.
We acknowledge that there are different levels of awareness of the Center
for Disease Control (CDC) and Ohio and Cuyahoga County Health Department
guidelines, and seeing them for the first time can seem overwhelming. We
will have details on Ledgewood.org, clear signage at the clubhouse entrance
and throughout the pool area for reminders. It is the entire Ledgewood
community’s responsibility to observe the guidelines so that we remain in
compliance with the Health Department mandates. The safety of the Ledgewood
residents and pool staff remain a priority, as well as protecting the
Association.
In compliance with the Ohio & Cuyahoga Health Department, the following is
an overview of guidelines and procedures necessary for Ledgewood residents to
access the pool. Details can also be found at

entrance.
STAY HEALTHY GUIDANCE
Do not use the pool if you have:
• symptoms
<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html> of
COVID-19,
• tested positive for COVID-19, or
• been exposed to COVID-19 positive person within the last 14 days
• There is widespread, ongoing transmission of novel coronavirus
worldwide. If you have traveled internationally in the past 14 days, stay
home and monitor your health.
Older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions, like
heart or lung disease or diabetes, seem to be at higher risk for developing
more serious complications from COVID-19 illness.
If you do develop symptoms of Covid-19, test positive, or come in contact
with someone that tests positive, you must notify the association for
contact tracing protocols.
Face masks are required for entry and indoors (during check-in, in the
lobby and hallway, inside restrooms, etc.). Masks can be removed once
outside on the pool deck.
Wash and disinfect hands frequently. Hand sanitizer stations will be
located throughout the pool area for convenience, and please bring your own,
as well too.
POOL CAPACITY & HOURS
The pool hours will be the same as previous years; noon- 8 pm, except on
Mondays and Thursdays when it will be closed for deep cleaning.
Based on the Cuyahoga County Department of Healthguidelines, the pool’s
occupancy limit will be modified to not exceed 60 people and/or 24
households at a time, whichever number is reached first. Lane dividers and
a reservation system have been put in place to meet the occupancy
guidelines.
GUESTS
No guests will be allowed to access the pool during Phase One. Nannies
and/or caretakers do not count as guests. Grandchildren residing outside of
Ledgewood, however, are considered guests and will not be allowed in during
Phase One.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations for pool are required and can be made on the Ledgewood website
at:

or by phone at the front desk (440-238-6000) during pool hours. Residents
will be able to make reservations in 2-hour increments for the following
areas.
1. 50m lap swimming,
2. 25m lane per household,
3. Baby pool (available for one family at a time), or
4. Sunbathing with no access to the pool
We realize these modifications to the operations of the pool are going to
very different from the usual. Residents who choose to use the pool will be
required to sign an agreement that they understand and will follow the
policy and procedures. The safety of the pool staff and residents is a top
priority.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU GET SICK
If you visit the pool and do develop symptoms of COVID-19, test positive,
or come in contact with someone that tests positive, you must notify
the Association
for contact tracing protocols.
