I think it is so cool to get this species in a dry, mostly waterless (no big
water) area of Texas. I had at least 6 this morning with a large flock of
Baird's Sandpipers at the Junction Wastewater Treatment Plant (Junction WTP
on ebird). The sludge pond actually had water in it with the result that this
pond is probably the best habitat in the whole of Kimble County. Photo on
ebird. When I see this species, sadly I know migration is mostly at its end.
