in  general it is not as  smooth a platform as IOS but   android is
getting there. the newer the version you get the more access there is
in it. so kit cat is as much  better then   jelly   bean  then jelly
bean is then Ice cream sandwich.
if you do think you want to use an android   device you should try and
get a stock Google device like the Nexis 4 or 5. by it write off the
play store  and not from the  cell phone company like at&t as you will
be more likely to get the accessible updates that carriers block you
from getting. and even when the carriers do give you the updates they
tend to brake the access.
