Oklahoma ABLE Tech invites school district Assistive Technology (AT) Teams
to participate in quality and convenient AT and special education training
this school year. The AT Team training opportunities are available to
schools at no cost through a partnership with ABLE Tech and the Oklahoma
State Department of Education.

ABLE Tech offers teams four choices of dates and regional locations for a
one-day AT Team Day Training in October or November. AT teams will learn a
team-based model for completing AT assessments. ABLE Tech staff and
nationally recognized special education and AT practitioner, Dr. Penny
Reed, will train on the following topics: IDEA and the provision of AT
services; Quality Indicators for AT and critical aspects of AT
consideration; demonstration of a simple, easy to follow system for AT
consideration including the three stages of an AT assessment process; easy
to follow forms; and team guided practice.

Each team will receive a copy of the manual, *Education Tech Points: A
Framework for Assistive Technology*
<http://www.educationtechpoints.org/>. Attendance
certificates and CEUs will be available. The training package is valued at
$7000.
