The next Community Work Group meeting is being set;
Tuesday, January 26th
11:30am-1pm Poteau Library
Lunch will be provided
On January 20th, the LeFLore County Coalition will determine the Intermediate
Variables, on the 26th you will proceed with assisting the coalition with the
selected strategies and determining how you plan to achieve these strategies.
This is a very important meeting, your input is vital to the successful
outcomes. It is important to continue to provide or locate as much local data
as possible. If you have contact with local school districts would you please
encourage them to participate with the free Oklahoma Prevention Needs
Assessment, this survey provides a wealth of local data regarding the youth in
LeFLore County. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at

Data continues to be presented that affirms the devastation of problems that
prescription drugs are causing in LeFlore County. I'm very pleased with the
support you and the community are providing.
Please plan to attend this meeting on the 3rd of December. You may also want
to invite a community partner or member who can assist us with decision making
regarding the selection of our focus intermediate variable that will be
selected. This is a community effort as many factors will be discussed and
presented (priority focus group 12-25 years of age).
