missed them before.  I live near the coast and some overwinter in some 
places, but not at my place.  There has been an influx and start of singing 
in late March in past years.

This morning, I noticed a salmonberry blossom.  The Japanese quince is 
starting to leaf out, so that the blossoms for the past month are going to 
not be so conspicuous.

Signs of spring!
