I was at Yaquina Head Lighthouse a few minutes ago.  I was at the outer
most spot of the platform when a small sparrow struggled to reach the
platform.  It didn’t quite make it but it was able to land on the bushes
below but out of view.

I don’t know much about Sparrow migration but something is going on.

I don’t know much about Sparrow migration but something
is going on.

Along the coast there was an abrupt shift to sustained east
winds just before midnight last night, so quite possible many
migrant passerines were pushed out over the ocean in the
predawn hours.
