Dear Friends,

The anti-racism working group is scheduled to meet a week from tomorrow.
All are invited!

When I agreed to convene the group, I agree to do it through this month. I
didn't, of course, know what life was going to bring. And did his brought a
lot!

As a number of you know, I am utterly overwhelmed. I'm currently juggling
too many balls; each of which is very precious to me, this working group
included. I have begun dropping balls; I need to lay a few down and this is
one since I know there are capable hands to pass it off to. Air first order
of business will be to identify a new convener.

The other item of business that I know of is to identify a date this month
to talk about Isabel wilkerson's book Caste. I hope all of you are reading
it; it's an incredible book!

Please let me know what other agenda items you would like to see.

The zoom invite for tomorrow is below. I intend on joining... Someone,
please call to check on me if I'm not there! It could be I just fell sound
asleep in a heap after lunch and want to wake up to be there with you.

Thanks!
Laurie

Laurie Wilner is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

I can do Tuesday at 7pm, and mayyyybe at 11am. (I have a meeting at 10
with a “10 o’clock scholar” (i.e. he is usually tardy).

Is this meeting just to focus on to whom to donate and how much? Or is
there a full agenda…? If it’s the former, it would work better for me.

Just a thought, before the fact: I am thinking it would be good to look
at groups with a local, broad, and expanding impact. An example would be
the Challenging Racism program that is in its 17th year of training 100s
if not 1000s of Northern Virginian citizens in anti-racism.

Laurie and all,

I can meet on Tuesday at 11 or 7:00 pm.  I will review the lists and see
if there are other groups to add.  I just learned of a new group working on
affordable housing.  I will need to look up their name.   How much money do
we have to donate?

Much Light,

Susan

Subject: URGENT - Can we meet briefly this afternoon?
Dear Friends,

Jessica reminded us that we need to present our recommendation for
donation to Finance by the end of the month. As you may know, this offer to
recommend donations arose the day after we met this month. I hope we can
meet soon; I leave town on Thursday.

I'd like to try to meet this afternoon around 4 or either Monday or
Tuesday at either 11 a.m. or 7 p.m.. When can you join? If none, please
share your thoughts in advance.

I did a brief review of about a dozen sets of minutes and pulled out
(hopefully all) organizations we've worked with or spoken about in the
past. Those I found  include:
