Today, Sally Hill, Vickie Buck and I birded together on the Lane Coast.
Among numerous other species, we saw Caspian Terns, Brant Geese and a
single Glaucous Gull (likely first-cycle). The terns and geese were
northbound.
After reasonably close views, the gull took flight, never to be relocated.
It was with a number of Glaucous-winged and Western Gulls. There were large
flights of gulls, most northbound.
