2nd Annual "Speedygo Regatta"
Seattle's R/C Landsailing Championships
INDOOR SAILING WITH FANS:
Location: Whitman Middle School gymnasium
(9201 15th Ave NW, near Swanson's Nursery in NW Ballard)
Date: Friday, June 2, 2006
Time: 4:30-7:30 PM (registration opens at 4:15 PM)
Program: Fast sailing in a tournament style championship
Who: Student Drivers from AS#1, Ballard, Hale, Roosevelt, and Whitman
Courses*:
(1) 5-min "Tilted Lap" course to divide sailors into "Gold" and "Silver"
fleets
(2) "Triangle" course for tournament ladder
*Subject to change at the discretion of the Race Committee
Lunch: Cheese Pizza ($1/slice) + free H2O
Schedule:
4:30 - 5:00 PM Registration & Practice (registration opens at 4:15 PM)
5:00 PM "Skippers' Meeting"
(NOTE: Try hard to register by 5:00 PM. Late registrants are NOT eligible
for awards
and may possibly miss their chance to race altogether. Contact us in advance
if you will be coming later)
5:15 - 6:00 PM: "Tilted Lap" course (4-6 boats per heat - winners enter
"Gold" fleet)
6:00 - 7:45 PM: "Triangle" course (head to head competition)
8:00 - 8:30 PM: Awards Ceremony
