This is fantastic news!   I think a standard plug and access to all
chargers will increase adoption.

While I do agree that for the success of the EV market there needs to be
one uniform charger port, there just isn’t enough DC chargers, I’m not a
fan of NACS platform. There needs to be a set IEEE standard put in place
that the industry adheres itself too, if not with the constant change it
will be confusing and it will create less options. There is a reason that
the end of a gas pump has been the same since the 1940s. By letting the
market create multiple private platform connectors it won’t be stable. Just
my two cents, ha.

I was shocked by the news just over a week ago that Ford was moving to
the NACS port but now that GM has done it as well, has left me gobsmacked.
I never would have thought that either of these companies would ever latch
on to the Tesla network. Being a Bolt and Spark owner I am thrilled to have
access in the near future to  all of the charging networks (sorry about our
50 kW max). More options is better for us all. This should help to build
out the charging network and make it ubiquitous, which will simplify the
transition to EV for all the people nervous about switching from ICE to
EV.  Looking forward to figuring out how to park at Tesla Supercharger with
the charging port on the wrong side/end of the car.
Thanks for sharing Marty!!
