Subject: [Klamath County Fire Defense Board] Re: Training in January
Howdy all. I haven’t had anyone from any local fire department sign up for this
training yet. This is a great opportunity to get your folks who don’t have much
IMT-exposure some knowledge. Give me a call or shoot me an email if you have
questions or if you’d like to put some names down.
Hello! Save the date for our next first responder community training event:
When: January 23-24, 2018
Where: KCC
What: Incident Management Team: Building the local team to respond to a large
incident
Details: Day 1 will focus on principles learned in ICS300 (“A day in the life
of an IMT”). Day 2 will be scenario-driven to practice skills and build
interagency relationships.
Seats are limited and intended for supervisory level personnel – those who
would be leaders of the response to a large incident that affects the Klamath
County community and those who would fill an all-hazards Incident Management
Team Command and General Staff position. Prerequisites include ICS 100, 200,
300, 700, 800, but no prior experience is necessary. This training is meant to
build on our local capabilities and capacities to respond to large events.
Reply with an email to sign up including name, agency and email address.
Course instructor is Charles Phenix from the Rogue Valley, who has nearly 40
years of experience working with incident management teams and emergency
operations planning. Details and a formal agenda will be shared later on.
Looking forward to this - thanks!
