Good Afternoon,
Attached is a flyer for the "Public Safety Night at the Ballpark". The Gems
baseball team is honoring all emergency responders on Tuesday, July 3rd. In
addition to the regular Gems baseball game at 7:05pm, there will be a charity
softball game between a team of police officers and a team of firefighters
starting at 5:00pm. Each team raises money for their charity based on ticket
sales. You must purchase tickets directly from the team in order for them to
get credit. Fire District No. 1 currently has tickets for the fire service
team. Tickets are $7.00 each, with $3.50 from each ticket going to our chosen
charity, the local chapter of the Red Cross. If you haven't been to a Gems
game yet, I promise you will have a great time! If you have been to a game,
you know what I am talking about. This is a great event for the whole family.
Please pass this flyer along to anyone/everyone you can think may be
interested. If for some reason, you can't make it to the game, we are taking
basic donations as well. We definitely want to present our charity with a
check for more money than the police raise.
If you know you want tickets, but can't make it down to the Central Fire
Station during regular business hours, contact me and we can work something
out. I will get them to you one way or another. The deadline for purchasing
tickets through the Fire District is Friday, June 29th. After that, you can
buy them at the Gems box office, but we won't get the credit.
