You are receiving this as a notification of an KC-IMT Drill. The desire of the
design team is for each person to learn their position better, and experience
success. A lot of preparation and hard work has gone into making this a
detailed and realistic drill for our team. Please refer to the following
information regarding IMT Drill participation.

Drill Type

* Wildfire in the urban interface

Where do the participants report for the drill and how long will it last

* This is a Friday only drill June 29

* Staging at 0900 hours at 143 North Broad Street

* Leave for Keno 0930 hours

* In-Briefing will take place 1000 hours at the Keno Fire Department on
Puckett Road in Keno Team will be briefed by ODF IC

* Drill will be over no later than 1500 hours

* Personal travel to home destination may take longer

Will this be an inside or outside (PPE) based training

* Mostly inside, although operations folks may want to gather
Situational Awareness in the field

* Other than the operations section, the team will not need additional
transportation from the Keno Station.

What is expected of the Team regarding performance

* The Team will develop an IAP and communicate using proper ICS Forms.

*         Brief Agency Administrators

* Note: Mentors may be available to answer questions, assist, fill in
gaps in the team

What is expected of the individual team members regarding their performance.

* Each team member will bring their administrative and office tools and
equipment.

* Each team member will be responsible for the role of their assigned
position

* The team will be responsible for familiarizing themselves with the
ICS Forms and the Planning Process

What are the ground rules the team will be operating under for the drill?

* There will be no initial dispatch/notification process with an
advanced team

* We will be expected to show up and begin as a team with an in-briefing

* We will field a team of Command and General Staff with additional
group sups as needed

* Team members are encouraged to participate for the full day drill.
Partial day participation will be difficult and cannot hold a team position in
the drill scenario.

* The KC IMT will have some ODF resources to work with.

* Other than that, the drill will be the KC-IMT's assignment

I am sure there will be scenario based challenges we must overcome as a part of
the drill, these challenges are meant to push the team and make it better. The
team will face this challenge with everyone working toward each other's success.

Although the drill will be fire based all disciplines are encouraged to
participate, and we will have enough fire discipline people to fill in the
operations section roles. All team members will be able to perform team
functions that they have the expertise in and hopefully learn something
additional. We are a new team and success comes with hard work.

Please reply to this email if you are planning to attend this drill. (even if
you have stated your participation earlier)
