from what i know there are two drivers, which allow that to happen.
the wireless driver from sf.net, with my patch, and the gtdriver.
both can setup every not broadcast ethernet address. please make
sure you know what that is. to use it with the gtdriver do a
"ifconfig enX ether 00:01:02:03:04:05".
the compex card sounds like it is broadcom (therefore not compatible).
I am interested in working on this for a syntax (prism) usb adapter.
I take it the sf wireless driver referred to is the one at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/wirelessdriver/
The gtdriver is clearly the one on the kismac site, but what is "my patch"?
Johnny Cache, the way I read Mick's response (part of the message
above but not quoted), your xnu patch should not work in the end. In
fact, another of your messages in this thread implied agreement with
this, but it's a bit unclear to me. Can you expand or clarify?
