Yeah, no need at all.
You may be able to strip down an orinoco card and put that in your airport bay though, I think they DO support mac changing with ifconfig.

Of course not.
MAC address spoofing with the Airport Extreme interface is done via binary patching.
So there are no way to use this tool with 1st generation airport card.
Anyway, spoofing the MAC on those cards is, afaik, fairly trivial.
