Using the new version doesn't seem to help with a KeySpan connection (to a Garmin etrex). To recapitulate, here what I do, in sequence: I plug in my KeySpan USB-serial adapter and the corresponding serial device, /dev/tty.USA1991P1.1 shows up immediately. I plug the Garmin etrex serial cable into that, start up the etrex, and wait until it is "Ready to Navigate" (i.e., it sees enough satellites to give me a fix to within a few meters). I start up KisMAC. It "sees" /dev/tty.USA1991P1.1. I start to scan. I check the Map tab, and see the message at the bottom about not being able to track the satellites. ... Finally I cancel the scan and quit KisMAC. And here are the corresponding console log messages: /Applications/KisMAC.app/Contents/Resources/md5sum: MD5 check failed for 'Contents/MacOS/KisMAC' 2003-03-08 13:52:09.679 KisMAC[377] WARNING Self-Verification failed! A system which verifies KisMACs application file returned an error. You may ignore it, if you have no problems, however if there are unexplained crashes, we recommend you a reinstallation of KisMAC.
