Hi, I got a DWL-122 HW Rev A1 this week to use with Kismac. I get a lot of
beachballs and lockups even when I follow the advice about changing to
multichannel before start/stop. Actually, I have not been able to grab more
data than 1Mb before freeze and timeout error in the console, it's really
unstable... My question is: What firmware works best with the USBPrism2 driver?
I'm sure I don't have the same as the developers.

My setup:
DWL-122 HW Ver A1
Primary 1.1.3
Station: 1.8.1

Console at startup:
2005-09-15 15:04:01.206 KisMAC[152] USBIntersilJack is now ready to start
working.
2005-09-15 15:04:01.531 KisMAC[152] USBIntersilJack: Detected a Prism2 card
2005-09-15 15:04:01.570 KisMAC[152] USBIntersilJack: Firmware vendor 31,
variant 1, version 1.7 <--- WRONG VERSION?!!
2005-09-15 15:04:01.571 KisMAC[152] USBIntersilJack: MAC 0x0 0x11 0x95 0xf2
0x50 0x87

The Windows D-Link drivers:
D-Link Air USB Utility V3.2.1.40525 with Driver3.1.3-Tx
Preamble Auto(cat)
(Available on Swedish and Taiwanese D-Link website)
updated my firmware automatically. Here's instructions, info and an archive
with Prism2 Firmware which I intend to use alter the one I have:

Thanks

Klas
