Hi All! So, some words for what purposes I started to use KHTML map. I am developing a vehicle tracking system. It is developed in C# under .net4 framework in VS2010. Its two main SW components are: - a server, that receives and parses data coming from cars - a client, that can show online positions on a map, enables to analyze archive data, creating reports etc. Server is a windows service, client is a desktop application. Now I am developing a web client, that can connect to my server via WCF. Its first feature is to show online positions on a map in a web browser. That is why I was looking for a simple web mapping framework and I found KHTML on mapnik website. As I told earlier I could create a simple web app that shows my online positions on the map and can refresh them periodically. I found KHTML is a great tool. I plan to add more and more features to my web client in the future by developing my server WCF interface and my web client paralelly. Next steps would be drawing archive tracks on the map. I also plan to create phone clients for IPhone and Android, but it would be in the far future, I am overstressed by my lot of works, so now I don't have time for it. I tested my simple KHTML web client in my Samsung Galaxy Android phone. I found neither its built-in web browser nor Opera mini could operate my map as I expected. I can see the map, but I can not zoom in, pan, so it seems it is 'just' an image - with my markers on it - but not an interactive map. My questions are: - Aren't mobile browsers supported? As I read there is some support for IPHone, but what about Android? - Are there any mobile phone specific features/trick that can be used to show interactive maps in mobile browsers?
