Chinas Generalverwaltung für Qualitätsüberwachung, Inspektion und Quarantäne
hat Volkswagen, General Motors und Daimler dazu gedrängt, die Rückrufe von
Fahrzeugen mit fehlerhaften Airbags von Takata zu beschleunigen. Die
chinesische Aufsicht für Produktqualität erklärte in einer Mitteilung, die drei
Autohersteller hätten bisher nur ein paar Fahrzeuge für Tests zurückbeordert

Daimler beteiligt sich an Start-up CleverShuttle
Die Daimler-Tochter EvoBus hat als strategischer Investor eine
Minderheitsbeteiligung am Berliner Start-up CleverShuttle übernommen. Die
Unternehmen wollen zusammen "On-Demand-Dienste" für Verkehrsverbände und
-unternehmen entwickeln, also Mobilitätsangebote, die flexibel auf

Mahle kündigt E-Auto-Studie zur IAA an
Für die IAA im September hat Mahle-Chef Wolf-Henning Scheider ein eigenes
Konzeptfahrzeug des Zulieferers angekündigt, das sich von gängigen Elektroautos
unterscheiden soll. "Es kann doch für den Stadtverkehr sinnvoll sein,
kostengünstig ein E-Fahrzeug zu bauen, das nur 100 Stundenkilometer schnell
ist, mit einem hocheffizienten Motor plus Thermomanagement ausgestattet und
entsprechend leicht", sagte er. Zudem will Mahle mit Elektronik wachsen.

Schaeffler und TH Nürnberg entwickeln E-Cargobikes
Zusammen mit dem Autozulieferer Schaeffler entwickelt die Technische Hochschule
Nürnberg eine neue Generation von E-Lastenrädern für Paketzustellungen im
urbanen Raum. Das hat Ralf Bogdanski von der TH Nürnberg im Rahmen des Projekts
LEV@KEP auf dem Logistik Forum 2017 mitgeteilt. Ziel ist die Entwicklung eines
Light Electric Vehicles (LEV), das die Ansprüche professioneller Anbieter von

Magna sieht Chance in Volvos Elektro-Zukunft
Volvo hat vor kurzem bekannt gegeben, ab 2019 nur noch Modelle mit
Elektro-Motoren anzubieten. Das stellt eine Chance für Magna dar, denn der
Zulieferer beliefert Volvo seit 2012 bereits mit einem elektrischen

China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and
Quarantine has urged Volkswagen, General Motors and Daimler to speed up recalls
of vehicles with faulty airbags from Takata. The Chinese product quality
watchdog said in a statement the three automakers have recalled only a few
vehicles for tests, and they have failed to mount comprehensive recalls.

Daimler buys stake in start-up CleverShuttle
Daimler subsidiary EvoBus has acquired a minority stake as a strategic investor

Mahle announced electric concept car for IAA
Mahle CEO Wolf-Henning Scheider has announced a concept vehicle built by the
supplier for the IAA in September that is supposed to be different from common
electric cars. "It can be reasonable to build a low-cost e-vehicle for urban
transport with a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour that is equipped with
a highly efficient engine plus thermal management, and is correspondingly
light," he said. In addition, Mahle also wants to boost growth in the field of

Schaeffler and TH Nürnberg develop electric cargo-bikes
Automotive supplier Schaeffler and the Technical University of Nuremberg (TH
Nürnberg) are jointly developing a new generation of electric carrier bicycles
for package deliveries in urban areas, TH Nürnberg's Ralf Bogdanski said in the
course of the LEV@KEP project at the Logistics Forum 2017. The partners aim to
develop a light electric vehicle which meets the requirements of professional

Magna eyes opportunities in Volvo's electric future
Volvo recently announced that it will offer only electrified powertrains in
models that it will launch starting in 2019. This announcement presents an
