GM setzt im ersten Quartal weniger in China ab
Der Absatz von General Motors in China ist im ersten Quartal um 5,2 Prozent im
Vergleich zum Vorjahr gefallen. Das teilte der Autohersteller am 7. April mit.
Den Rückgang verzeichnete das Unternehmen trotz eines Absatz-Wachstums von 16
Prozent in China im März. Grund war ein Umschwung in der Steuerpolitik der

Panasonic verlagert Sitz der Kältekompressor-Sparte nach Singapur
Panasonic hat am 7. April 2017 seine neue Kältekompressor-Geschäftseinheit in
Singapur gestartet und zugleich die Umsiedlung des weltweiten Hauptsitzes der
Einheit von Japan nach Singapur angekündigt. Es ist das erste Mal, dass das
japanische Unternehmen den globalen Hauptsitz einer Geschäftseinheit an einen
Standort außerhalb von Japan verlegt hat. Panasonic will außerdem sein

Intelligence (AI) startup Mobvoi. The startup, founded by a group of former

GM China vehicle sales fall in first quarter
General Motors' (GM) first quarter sales in China fell 5.2 percent compared to
the same period of the previous year, the company announced on April 7. The
drop comes despite a 16 percent year-on-year increase in China sales in March,

talked about the automaker's solutions for providing fully autonomous driving.

Continental has developed comfortable touch gestures for car cockpits. Thanks
to a combination of gesture interaction elements and a touch-sensitive surface,
the driver can draw certain predefined symbols on the input display to quickly
access and directly trigger several functions, said Heinz Abel, head of Cross
Product Solutions at Continental's Instrumentation & Driver HMI business unit.
The combination of gestures and haptic methods significantly reduces the
distraction of the driver when compared to the use of a traditional touch

Schaeffler has received two Premier Automotive Suppliers' Contribution to
Excellence (PACE) awards this year. U.S. industry magazine "Automotive News"
awards the prize for outstanding innovation, technological progress and

for the electromechanical roll stabilizer and a new freewheel device for

Panasonic opened its new refrigeration compressor business unit in Singapore on
April 7, 2017, and with it, announced the relocation of the unit's headquarters

corporation has relocated the global headquarters of a business unit outside of
Japan. Panasonic will also upgrade its research and development center in
