Subject: [kennedycatholicstaff] Student and family in crisis

Hi all,

Jesse Becker (grade 10) and his mom, Marianne, suffered a fire in their
apartment building last night. The fire started in the room below Jesse?s.
Jesse?s room was destroyed and he lost all his possessions. Unfortunately,
Jesse?s dog died in the fire.

I spoke with Marianne a little while ago. They will be staying with her sister
for the time being. At this time, we are asking for a collection of money to
purchase a Target gift card for Jesse to be able to buy some clothing. You can
give to Heidi.

In the next day or two, Jesse and Marianne will need to move the furniture that
is salvageable into a storage unit. We may be asking for some assistance with
this task as Marianne is not able to help due to her arthritis.

While thankful to be alive, Jesse and Marianne are grieving the loss of their
dog and their place of living. Keep them in your prayers and give as you are
able.
