Dear All, apparently my contact list has disappeared so I am piggy backing on 
Becky’s email……..

 

Good job yesterday with the fire evacuation!  Students left the building 
quickly, teacher signs were visible and attendance collected.

 

Now would be a good time to replenish any missing supplies:

1.       Be sure you have pens in your emergency bag for taking attendance

2.       Copies of the following forms can be found on the “Calendar and 
Events” bulletin board in the staff room:

a.       Attendance forms

b.      Map for fire evacuation

c.       Map for evacuation to football field

 

Also, remind student to exit in silence.

 

Thanks for your diligence in helping to create a safe environment for our 
students!

Please read the following message regarding the Network update.  

 

The wireless network is showing good stability for the last 36 hours which is a 
very good sign. I would encourage teachers to begin to use the wireless network 
and report back to me issues they may have. As a refresher the passwords for 
the WLANs are as follows:

 

ipadatv:

1@pple2Day

 

JFKnet

2@K3nn3dy

 

In order for students to get wireless on their BYOD they will need to login to 
a networked PC at school and change their password when prompted. After this 
occurs they will be able to use the JFKstudents WLAN. We want to not have 
student devices on JFKnet or ipadatv WLANs. If they do it is not a deal breaker.

 

Teachers also should be able to print to the "followmeprint" function. I was 
with several teachers today after school and it worked. If etchers have not 
restarted their machines it would be beneficial to help with printer mapping. 
If issues arise they should contact Fil or myself.

 

The documents folder referenced in previous email continues to map out. If 
teachers need files from the old Z:drive I can help with that. A vast majority 
have already been done.

 

Fil and I also remapped many of the teachers email data files and will continue 
on Friday.

 

I am prioritizing the followmeprint and basement teachers tomorrow morning. Fil 
will work the 3rd floor. We will walk the halls and peak into classroom to make 
sure things a running smoothly. Fil will also continue with student account 
setup.

 

Joan's email will be my first stop in the morning.

 

I look forward to the network functionality as it evolves and we will be better 
for the changeover as burdensome as it has been.
