This year we are having a panel of professionals who are involved in the recovery industry and Dan Satterberg, Katie Satterberg's father, and King County Prosecuting Attorney. The assembly will start as soon as everyone gets to gym. Before you head out could you please remind the students to be respectful and encourage them to ask questions. Below are the bios on the panel members speaking. Dan Sattergerg King County Prosecuting Attorney Paul Weatherly, MA, CDP Bellevue College Paul R. Weatherly, MA, CDP, is currently the Director of the Alcohol/Drug Counseling Program at Bellevue College. He has worked in the field of chemical dependency counseling since 1993, specializing in adolescent treatment. As part of his work in counseling and teaching counseling, he has extensively studied marijuana as a medicinal and recreational drug. His studies include medical non-medical marijuana laws and the issues these create for the legal and addiction treatment systems. Frank Couch MA, LMFTA, CDP, NCACITreatment DirectorLakeside Milam Recovery Centers(LMRC)Frank has a Masters degree in Psychology from Antioch University Seattle with his primary study in Couple and Family Therapy. He is a Certified Chemical Dependency Specialist and a Nationally Certified Addictions Counselor. His experience includes work in both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment settings with adolescents and young adults. In addition he has worked extensively with family members of young people with addictions. Franks previous role was as the Executive Director of The Science And Management of Addictions (SAMA) and has been working in the field of addiction for over ten years. Quincy Jefferson Treatment Director Lakeside Milam Recovery Center, Burien Campus Quincy Jefferson entered inpatient treatment at Lakeside-Milam Recovery Centers as an adolescent in 1995 at the age of 17. He has been in recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction since his treatment and returned to work for Lakeside-Milam in 1997. He has had various positions with Lakeside-Milam over his 16 years in the field, with the majority of this time working with adolescents. Quincy is currently one of the Treatment Directors at the Burien campus. Abigail Gause, CDP Clinical Coordinator Lakeside Milam Recovery Center, Burien Campus Abigail Gause has eight years of experience in the chemical dependency field. She worked as an adolescent inpatient counselor at Sundown M Ranch for 4 years and moved to the western side of the state to work for Lakeside Milam Recovery Centers outpatient in Kirkland, WA. After 1 ½ years with the outpatient office she decided she wanted to work with adolescents in an inpatient setting again and came to work at Lakeside Milam, Burien Campus. She has a passion for working with adolescents and young adults and is in recovery from addiction herself.
