It has happened in the north. A person in Orillia found a geocache, and took it to the police station. The police station was evacuated, thinking it might be a bomb. The police, (knowing what a geocache is due to a local cache placed near police training facility in the area) determined it was a geocache, and even opened it up for the media. There is an ongoing thread in the COG forums for this issue for anyone interested: http://www.centralontariocachers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=40 Swifteroo, Team Woods and KSACat are valiantly fighting the good fight, but with 2 geocaching related incidents (the other was graverobbing) in this area in under a year... Hopefully the media gets its facts straight this time. We are currently trying to stream a video of the broadcast.
