With the arrival of spring migrant birds at the end of April, we've had
pretty good banding results at Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural
History--including several species we don't net very often. All these
and several interesting recaptures are described on our Web site under
"This Week at Hilton Pond" for the week of 22-30 April 2004.

The photo essay this week is about a nest of Yellowbelly Sliders that
our brother accidentally dug up on the family homestead. We think you'll
agree that these tiny turtles are quite photogenic, as shown at
<<http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek040422.html>>

Please forward this message to friends who appreciate birds and
nature, and tell them they can get a free reminder for "This Week
at Hilton Pond" by sending a blank E-mail to
<<mailto:ThisWeek@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>> with SUBSCRIBE in the
subject line. Be sure to have them configure their spam filters to
accept E-mails from ThisWeek@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Happy Nature Watching!

BILL
