over budget. Unknown to Soames, Bosinney is infatuated with
Irene. Irene resists initially, but gradually melts under
Bosinney&rsquo;s charm. Soames is in the dark about the affair until
he sees Irene and Bosinney display open affection. Irene asks
Soames to honor his pledge to let her out of the marriage. He
refuses and decides to sue Bosinney for breach of contract over

hears the news of Bosinney's death, she returns home to find

wildlife extinctions. This film explores their remarkable
efforts and also conveys the hope that one kind of cooperation

journey that would end when Shackleton made a daring 800-mile

leading ultimately to his famous assassination in Ford's
theater. Following his murder, Mary is unable to mourn and the

CiviConnections: Constructing the Past, Creating the Future
Profdev>

The National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) has received
a grant from the federal Corporation for National and Community
Service to fund "CiviConnections: Constructing the Past,
Creating the Future." The new program will provide an
opportunity for teacher teams and students in grades 3-12 to
link local historical inquiry with community service-learning
activities. Thirty-three teams of teachers will be awarded
grants of $7,500 for implementing the program in classrooms and
communities all across America. Application deadline: April 30,
2004.
