1.    Indexed Repository for Lesson plans now available

Here you'll find standards-aligned Lesson Plans (LP) and Action Research
Projects authored by participants in our information fluency classes and
workshops. Documents are currently available in either Adobe PDF or
Microsoft Word format.

The Lesson Plans are categorized by grade, subject area, and learning
standards. Alignment with International Society for Technology in
Education/National Educational Technology Standards  (ISTE/NETS),
Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), American Library Association (ALA),
and other relevant standards are noted in the lesson plans by their authors.
You can search the documents by   learning standards, grade level, and
subject area.

This new section in the portal  is a compilation of comments and  quotes from
participants and friends in the program.

3.   Dates for the Fall 2004 Classes established

The Fall 2004 session of the 12 week, 3 graduate credit course will begin
Tuesday September 28, 2004.  The course will begin with a Kickoff meeting
at IMSA (and audio conference) that day.  The class will end Tuesday
December 21, 2004.   The 6-week, 36 CPDU Survey course will begin Tuesday 
October 5,
2004 and finish Tuesday November 16.  The Survey Kickoff meeting and audio 
conference
will be held Wednesday September 29.

4.  Workshop dates announced for Summer 2004

The IMSA 21CIF in partnership with the Illinois School Library Media 
Association
(ISLMA), will again offer the one-day 7 CPDU Workshop over the summer.  The
first session will be held  Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Williamsville Junior 
High
School, Williamsville.  The second will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2004
at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora.   You may register

5.  New features for Micro Modules coming soon.

We have instituted an online feedback mechanism to allow people to comment
on the micro modules.  The response has been terrific and very helpful.  People
told us that they would like the pre and post test to be optional.  Therefore, 
the
feature to allow you to skip pre and post test is in final test and coming 
soon.
