THEME OF THE WEEK: ANCIENT HISTORY
************************************************************

** ACTIVITY OF THE WEEK **
Learn about Jerusalem

Through the centuries, the city of Jerusalem has been one recurring location
for religious and political upheaval and turmoil. Have the students research
the following questions as introductory information before the unit of study or
class discussion on the topic of Jerusalem. Here are some questions to help
formulate that information:

1. Why is the Western Wall of the Jewish temple seen as a holy place for Jews
all over the world?

2. Why might Jerusalem today be considered to be one of the most diverse
communities in the world?

3. Which groups have their own quarter in Jerusalem?
