Interesting relay attempt yesterday: Apr 12 10:25:37 Linux postfix/smtpd[12473]: connect from unknown[208.49.202.2] Apr 12 10:25:38 Linux postfix/smtpd[12473]: 689201CA: client=unknown[208.49.202.2] Apr 12 10:25:38 Linux postfix/smtpd[12473]: reject: RCPT from unknown[208.49.202.2]: 554 <test@xxxxxxxxxxxx>: Recipient address rejected: Relay access denied; from=<anyone@xxxxxxxxxxxx> to=<test@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Apr 12 10:26:04 Linux postfix/smtpd[12473]: disconnect from unknown[208.49.202.2] I figure that they probably didn't single me out. If you're running your own mail server, grep for efunsoft and make sure it wasn't relayed. I wonder if this was an actual test from efunsoft (the IP is in a netblock owned by petadoptions.com), or if someone has a beef with efunsoft. Normally relay attempts point to a throwaway address on Yahoo! or HotMail, not an address at the company itself. I went to SamSpade and pulled up their web page - they sell bulk e-mail software. Regardless, efunsoft now has a list of open relays as a result. Make sure you're not on it! Cheers, James ------------------------------------ This is the Juneau-LUG mailing list.
