Err, here's an example sent with a *nix mail reader (have to use Outlook at
work):

This one is for an HP LaserJet 5M with a JetDirect card in it, generated by
Printtool. Lots of extra settings in it you probably don't need. Notice that
in this case the queue (rp:) is set to AUTO, which makes it simpler to print
to. The above example (rp:text) will let you print text files to a printer
that does not understand PostScript, which can be cool in certain situations.

# REMOTE POSTSCRIPT 600x600 letter (HPLaserJet5M_PS)
lp1:\
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp1:\
        :mx#0:\
        :sh:\
        :rm=192.168.0.185:\
        :rp=AUTO:\
        :lpd_bounce=true:\
        :if=/usr/lib/printfilters/master-filter:\
        :ppdfile=/usr/share/postscript/ppd/HP_LaserJet_5M.ppd:\
        :PAPERSIZE=letter:\
        :DESIRED_TO=ps:\
        :PRINTER_TYPE=REMOTE:\
        :ASCII_TO_PS=YES:\
        :GSDEVICE=POSTSCRIPT:\
        :RESOLUTION=600x600:\
        :PS_SEND_EOF=YES:\
        :NUP=1:\
        :RTLFTMAR=18:\
        :TOPBOTMAR=18:\
        :TEXT_SEND_EOF=NO:

And here's the original without the Outlook added strangeness:

 lp|Network HP:\
         :lp=/dev/null:sh:mx#0:rm=10.200.9.70:rp=auto:\
         :sd=/var/spool/lpd:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:

Cheers,

James
