Thanks for the great tips. I'll try CPAN but I'm still a bit worried
about the lib issue. Seems there were some tweaks in different versions
right around perl-DB_file 1.8.

How does one update the shared lib list? I ran ldconfig, but it doesn't
pick up the soft link I have set /usr/lib/libdb-4.0.so -> /usr/lib/libdb.so
My brain is a bit foggy, haven't done this in a while.
