And test drives then put an operating system on the ML-530.

Maybe I'll test drives here, that could take a while. Same for memtest, since
it's e-bay memory. You never know. I've not unpacked them after buying them
on e-bay. There were four drives in the machine (with six bays), and I bought
three additional drives and five mounting brackets.

That means I have an extra drive to leave with the machine, and I'll have three
mounting brackets extra. The three mounting brackets could conceivably end up
in one of the other ML-530 systems currently at surplus.

The machine had 1.25G RAM, and I bought another gig for it. There's lots of
room for additional chips - looks like you can fit 16GB into it with 1G DIMMS.

Assuming I can test the hardware, we can decide on an OS (Debian Etch?) and
install it during a meeting. Then talk about services to be offered (Apache,
Ecartis?), firewall, remote management (OpenVPN?), and extras.

Hmm. Sounds like work.
