Nvidia used GCC 2.X or GCC 3.X to compile their drivers, and you used
another version.  You'd have to look on Nvidia's site to see if they
tell you which GCC they used to compile.  Then you have to make sure you
compile your kernel with the same version of GCC.  It is a pain.

Nvidia and Linux (not just Debian) are troublesome.  Nvidia does not
release the source code for their drivers.  They just include
pre-compiled drivers.  So there are no Nvidia modules included in the
kernel source, which leads to the same problem you get if the compiler
versions are sufficiently different.
