I threw up my piece of exotic hardware a genuine original alpha EV67 (4MB of cache), 1 GB of ram and a lot of disk space. This box is amazing considering how old it is. I threw it up live and unblocked on the wireless network in downtown at the dns cholera.juneauwireless.net. If anybody wants a shell account in order to see what it's like on a piece of old original hardware that we will never see again and get an idea of how fast those old FPU's really were send me an email with a userid request. It does not have a fast internet connection but it is a box which is outside accessible via ssh and one can explore the growing wireless network from it and use it for diagnostic purposes. Inside the wireless network you can connect to it with the dns cholera.nodeone.juneau or at 10.121.0.8. This box is about 5 years old, so keep that in mind if you care to take a gander at it. If anything it can be another machine to add your ssh public key too. (this box only has one CPU, but imagine a box w/ 32 CPU's of these!) -Myron ------------------------------------ This is the Juneau-LUG mailing list.
