I used it off of the:
http://systemrescuecd.sourceforge.net/
system rescue CD, worked very well, it's a set of utilities based off of
gentoo.  I was able to resize my drive.  If you just want to copy the
system, boot up and do:

dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb
(where a is the source and b is the destination), wait until it's done,
then run qtparted to resize the destination partition.  If something fails
you'll still have your original drive untouched :).
