The 'buntus tend to have problems with some wireless notebooks. I tend to switch back and forth between Ubuntu and PCLinuxOS on the desktop. PCLinuxOS, on the other hand, has definitely made some inroads in wireless notebook computing. However, not having a notebook, this is anecdotal. You might want to give it a shot, though. Also their user forums are very active. regards, -dc On 7/18/07, Chris Ruschmann <chris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Have you tried this for your Wireless? > > http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=31926 > > Nels Tomlinson wrote: > > I'm using Ubuntu, and am just about fed up with Gnome, but I don't have > wifi > > on a laptop so can't help much with that. > > I do know that the several generations of wifi (b and g and so on) use > at > > least two different frequencies.
