Hey folks, I'm brand new to the list, pretty new to linux, and relatively
new to Juneau.

So, I just bought an Averatec 3200 laptop, it's real portable and cheap and
seems to work greatt, and trying to run Kubuntu on it. I love the KDE
desktop, but I'm struggling to get my wi-fi working.

For some reason my wireless works on Windows XP in the Silverbow but not on
KDE. However, wi-fi on XP won't work in the downtown library but I got KDE
to connect for about 3 minutes.

Agggh. Well, leave it to the new guy to dump all his computer problems on
the list, but I was just wondering who's out there that uses K/Ubuntu. It
would rock my word to infinitity if I could get online and actually be a
productive person. Either way, I'd like to meet other people in Juneau who
use it, cuz I think it has a lot of potential for people like me who try to
avoid command lines and programming language.

Okay, well take care, and if somebody feels filling up on good karma, call
my cell anytime at 509.432.1674

Thanks,
Jake
