I've been running edgy for a few weeks too, since I found that I
couldn't install beryl/compiz/emerald on dapper with much fuss. My
home machine (GF 6600 or so) runs with the normally installed NVIDIA
driver (I think via source, I can't remember) with all the fixings just
fine. EVerything works flawlessly - no crashes, no unexpected
problems. I have to start nautilus when I log in in order to get a
background, but it works. I run edgy and beryl at work as well (GF4
MX440) with the beta drivers, and that runs fine as well - although the
slower machine (dual 1.5 GHz vs. 2.2 GHz 64bit) and older video card are
a bit 'pokier' .
