:::sigh:::
Seems as if the free as in "free beer" and "free speech" are all being
overcome by lawyers--and I'd bet there's nothing "free" about them...

IMHO, there's way too much scrutiny (read: nitpicking) over it all. Sure, a
person wants to protect the rights to their intellectual property, but at
what cost for open source? I mean, it's free right? So what's the argument?

Unless a company foresees different circumstances somewhere in the future?..

But it would certainly be nice if an application was called by a proper name
across all distributions, rather than a rebranding of a perfectly good
original name.

Oops! Where would that leave Firefox???

An acknowledgment of the authors, if nothing else, should be prominently
made. It seems to me that something else would sorta be misleading...like
CoolToad...IceWeasel...whatever it's called...
